Turkey eSIM for Tourists, Families and Business Travellers

A Turkey eSIM is useful for many types of travel. Tourists can use mobile data for maps, attraction tickets, restaurant reviews, hotel check-ins, translation tools and sharing travel memories. Families can stay in contact while visiting busy markets, beaches, airports and tourist attractions. Business travellers can use mobile data for emails, online meetings, cloud tools and communication between airports, hotels and meetings.

Public Wi-Fi can be helpful, but it is not always available when you are walking through city streets, travelling between regions, using transport, visiting attractions or moving between hotels and airports. A travel eSIM gives you a more flexible way to stay online during your trip.

Before You Travel to Turkey

Check that your phone is unlocked and supports eSIM. Install your Turkey eSIM before departure or after arrival, and follow the activation instructions carefully. Make sure data roaming is enabled for the travel eSIM when instructed, as this is often necessary for mobile data to work correctly.

If you need help, contact eSIM Plus support before deleting the eSIM from your phone. Deleted eSIM profiles may not always be recoverable, depending on the plan and provider.

With eSIM Plus, your Turkey mobile data can be ready when you need it — from the airport to your hotel, from city streets to coastal resorts, and from short visits to longer journeys across Turkey.

Important: To use an eSIM, your phone must meet two conditions:
- It must support eSIM.
- It must be unlocked and not restricted to a specific network.

How to check if a phone supports eSIM using *#06#

  1. Open the Phone / Dialer app.
  2. Type this code: *#06#
  3. Do not press call.
On most phones, the information screen opens automatically.
  4. Look for a number called: EID

5. Check the result:

If you see EID, the phone usually supports eSIM.

If you see only IMEI or IMEI 1 / IMEI 2, but no EID, the phone probably does not support eSIM, or eSIM may be disabled by the manufacturer/carrier/region.

What EID looks like

EID is usually a long number, often around 32 digits.

Example:

EID: 89049032000000000000000000000000

Important note

Do not share your full IMEI or EID publicly. They are unique identifiers for your phone.
